The peach reminds us of a time when our wishes were fulfilled, at least for the moment. They symbolize youth and immortality, fertility, and protection against evil demons. In Daoist mythology, the Queen Mother of the West ensured the deities’ everlasting existence by feasting them with the peaches of immortality.

Since my mother’s passing last September, I am comforted to have moments like this one to look back on and help me know her memory and energy will continue and thrive in Paradise amidst the peach blossom spring.
